Dictionary.com says that more than 50 million people use its site every month, and its primary definition of marriage is "the social institution under which a man and woman establish their decision to live as husband and wife." That's not just personally offensive, it's also factually incorrect. Please sign the petition to have them update this definition.
Why on earth are all of these guys fooling around with him? His hair is absolutely atrocious!
I grew up believing that pork had to be well done and chops were served dry. Recently I have discovered pink pork, first in a restaurant and now at home. I buy the organic Berkshire and my god....pink is where it is at when it comes to the lean cuts of the piggy.

05/23/2012 The latest poll from Quinnipiac University shows President Obama with a six-point deficit in Florida, 41 percent to Mitt Romney’s 47 percent. Romney also gets much better ratings on the economy — 50 percent say that the Republican is better able to handle the economy, compared to 40 percent for Obama. Forty-four percent say that they approve of the president’s job performance, and his unfavorables have risen to 50 percent. Predictably, this poll has led to warnings of doom for President Obama. But I’m not too surprised by the outcome. Florida has only gone for the Democratic nominee in two of the last eight presidential elections — Bill Clinton in 1996 with 48 percent of the vote, and Obama in 2008 with 51 percent of the vote. What’s more, relative to their national vote totals, both presidents underperformed in Florida; Clinton by 1.2 percent and Obama by 1.9 percent. Given Florida’s demographics, it’s not hard to understand why the Sunshine State is less-than-friendly territory for Democratic candidates. In 2008, an excellent year for Democrats, 49 percent of Florida voters were above the age of 50, and 71 percent were white. Among whites, Obama lost every single age group by double digits; his best performance was among whites aged 18 to 29, whom he lost by 10 points, instead of 12.5 points for whites over the age of 45, and 22 points for whites aged 30 to 44. Florida also is hurting economically — it ranks near the top nationally for foreclosures, and it has a higher-than-average unemployment rate of 9 percent. When you combine this with the fact of its demographics — and its slim history of electing Democrats — then it’s no surprise that Obama faces a six-point deficit. Indeed, if Obama were tied with or leading Romney, it would amount to terrible news for the Republican nominee. Obama can win the presidency without Florida; because of its unique demographic profile — mostly white with a substantial portion of Republican-leaning Latinos — weakness there doesn’t translate to other vote-rich states such as Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio. By contrast, while it’s possible for Romney to win the presidency without Florida, it’s unlikely: He would be the first Republican to do so, ever. If this election is as close as it looks, then a Romney advantage in Florida should be expected.
Why we should expect Obama to lose Florida in 2012

I cant stop shaking or crying. I haven't consumed anything but nuts and wine in two days (less than a bottle of wine a night trying to get to sleep). I can't sleep. I am in a fog, and can't concentrate. I feel 'drugged' and lightheaded. I was thinking that I should see a dr, but do drugs help for 'situational' anxiety attacks? I don't want to get hooked on benzos or anti anxiety drugs.
Just in time for summer vacation, families with small children traveling on United Airlines will no longer be able to board early. Families with children who aren't flying first or business class now have to board with their ticketed boarding groups. The airline adopted the policy last month "to simplify the boarding process and to reduce the overall number of boarding groups," says United spokesman Charles Hobart. Most airlines, including JetBlue Airways, Virgin America and Delta Air Lines, let families with small children board before most coach passengers. "We work to make the travel experience as comfortable and easy as possible for our customers and know that families traveling with small children may have their hands full and need extra time to get settled in on their flights," says JetBlue spokeswoman Allison Steinberg. The move comes as airlines increasingly charge fees for passengers to board early and sit in certain seats. United's decision, says Brad Schaeppi, who flew United from Houston to Minneapolis on Sunday, makes traveling with his 6-month-old son, Asa, more uncomfortable. "With an infant who can be unhappy at any moment, it's nice to be able to go in and sit down and know you are on the plane, and you can manage your infant," he says. US Airways says that in the last year it dropped family preboarding for families with children but still lets them on earlier in the general boarding process. American Airlines has for several years made families without premium status board with most everyone else. Gate agents, however, are on the lookout for families who may need help, says spokesman Tim Smith. "The reality is that many flights and markets - think Orlando or other leisure destinations - can have many, many families on flights," Smith says. Continental Airlines allowed families to preboard, but the old United did not. The carriers merged in 2010 and have been aligning policies since. Hobart says the boarding process has run smoothly despite the change. Andrew Thomas, author of Soft Landing: Airline Industry Strategy, Service and Safety, says airlines have to balance the needs of a small group of travelers with premium customers and those who pay to board first. Edward Gee, a Houston resident, says he's seen early-boarding privileges abused by several adults going on with one child. "It doesn't take any longer to seat a family in the main boarding (time) than it does with a preboard," he says.

...and I have more questions than answers. 1. Who was the guy shown during the end credits? 2. Why wasn't Gwyneth in the movie more? The flick really needed some more women. 3. Was it filmed in 3D or converted after the fact? We saw it in 3D and it didn't particularly strike me as impressive in that way; I actually was more impressed with the 3D conversion of Titanic. I thought it was good movie, a fun popcorn flick, but not the second coming that some people seem to believe.
It used to be you'd hear about the occasional child with leukemia and then maybe some 60+ year olds. It was very rare to hear about 20-40 year olds who were suffering from it. So rare that you'd read it in the newspapers. Now I know 17 people (closely) that have been diagnosed at very young ages with cancer, including my own brother. My nextdoor neighbor is a nearly retired hospice nurse and she swears it is from cellphones. Do you sense an uptick in cancer case numbers in the fairly young?
Apparently there is a bill before the New York legislature that would ban anonymous speech online on message boards, blogs, etc. If this bill were to pass, would it mean that Datalounge would go belly-up? Or would we all just have to authenticate?
Before you tell me I'm being too mean, remember that they met through their mutual membership in the John Birch Society, okay? Anyway, his name's Greg, and the lump is still there. Regina's dress is a lacy Eighties throwback, but I've got to admit that I kind of like it on her; she looks far better than I've ever seen her. Everyone else just looks sweaty. It must have been hotter than you-know-what.

The first set photos have arrived for Star Trek 2, thanks to MTV. J.J. Abrams is currently filming the sequel, whose plot details are being kept under wraps. The images show Benedict Cumberbatch battling Spock (Zachary Quinto) on what is being called a "Space Barge set." Despite the strength of Spock's Vulcan death grip, Cumberbatch looks to be overpowering him. We don't know much about Cumberbatch's character, but it is clear that they are not getting along. What is odd is that he is wearing a black version of the Star Fleet uniform under his silver overcoat. Could this mean that Cumberbatch's character was one of the good guys before he became a villain?
Why isn't it up to $50 a share by now? It's currently at $34.03.
The original manuscript of the novel was very explicit about Jack Kerouac's and Neal Cassady's gay experiences, and (in particular) Cassady's prostitution. I hope they keep the gay in the movie version and don't make it too much about Garrett Hedlund's love for Kristen "Sullen" Stewart... bleeeargh.
It's not fleet week again, is it? It's like when the Blue Angels show up in October.
GREENSBORO, North Carolina Thu May 24, 2012 (Reuters) - A fifth day of jury deliberations got under way on Thursday in former U.S. Senator John Edwards' campaign finance case, which legal experts have said could expand the definition of what qualifies as campaign contributions. Jurors have nearly four weeks of testimony to consider as they determine whether Edwards, 58, conspired to use more than $900,000 from two supporters to conceal his pregnant mistress as he chased the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination. Prosecutors said Edwards sought to protect his political image, but the defense argued the donor payments were personal gifts intended to keep his cancer-stricken wife, Elizabeth, from learning he had fathered a child with then-mistress Rielle Hunter. The 12 jurors must reach a unanimous verdict to convict the Democrats' 2004 vice presidential nominee of charges including conspiring to solicit the money, receiving more than the $2,300 allowed from any one donor, and failing to report the payments as contributions. Edwards faces possible prison time and fines if he is found guilty.
I think he's hot. I'm a little excited, too, that Scissor Sisters has a new CD coming out next week. That is all.
