I know DL isn't usually into baseball but since it's pretty New York centric, I thought there may be some interest here. Does anyone remember how fucking hot the NY Mets around the year 2000 were? I know there were gay rumors about a handful of them too. Shawn Estes, Todd Zeile, and of course Mike "I'm Not Gay" Piazza - all hot men with rumors surrounding them. Robin Ventura - hottie who now manages the White Sox. Al Leiter who grunted and seemed like an animal in game. Does anyone have any info/stories about these guys? I would post pics but like half the team was hot.

All these talking heads on TV continue to try to make this coming election a race is disgusting. If Obama loses, it will be time enough to worry about the future. Any sane person who works couldn't possibly vote Romeany unless they have a problem with skin color. I know keeping the public interested in watching TV is a means of selling advertising and paying talking heads too much money, but the public may become wise to this schtick and tune them out.

I saw her in concert in Seattle years ago after apparently disastrous performances in Boston and San Francisco. When I saw her she was sublime. But I never hear about her anymore.\ \ There are some wild stories about her not being a diva, but a bat shit crazy bitch.

Initially, the Japanese government wanted to evacuate Tokyo but didn't because they didn't want to deal with the fear and the panic. And now that the reactors are in "cold shutdown", supposedly, the temps are spiking higher than ever. The mayor lost all of his body hair from his neck down, and has had constant nose-bleeds since Fukushima started. Many of the Japanese feel that they should stay even though they know the risks because they feel it is their "duty" to absorb the radiation because it is their fault so they have to bear it and not leave. It's even their children's "duty" to endure it. So, lot's of Japanese are committing suicide, getting cancer, nosebleeds, and all sorts of radioactive symptoms and diseases. Where the fuck is the media on this?

So... the entire series has actually been a love-story between two straight men. Interesting.

Met one of the cast members over the weekend. She was talking to someone else and said it was the gayest cast ever. When asked who she replied...'Not who you'd think." "Well maybe one you might think but the rest would surprise you." I got no names.

How did you get over it? I'm in therapy but I still sometimes feel like everyone is making fun of my looks. (yes it is like Carrie----they are all going to laugh at you!)

I woke up at a trick's house this morning famished so I went rummaging through his fridge and found bread inside. I've never seen anyone refrigerate bread before. It was just baffling. Wouldn't it get hard? I confronted him about it when he woke up and he said it keeps it fresh and keeps away mold. Is this true? He toasted some for me and it did taste okay with marmalade and farm-fresh butter. I couldn't tell the difference.
