Requirements: I'm a beginner. Cooking for one. Relatively healthy. I know I will need to invest in some spices. I would prefer whatever is needed could be made available at a supermarket. The basics, you know? I also neither have (nor do I have room for) a lot of cookware. So, again, just some of the basics would be best for me. Is a crock pot a good idea to purchase? I hope I am not coming off like a "Bossy Bottom." I order in 90% of the time and I'm tired of it. Can anyone help?

"There are many Republicans who feel that Barack Obama is not a 'natural born citizen' because his father was not an American when he was born and, therefore, feel that according to the Constitution he's not qualified to be president, should not have been allowed to be elected by the Electoral College or even nominated by the Democratic Party in 2008, so this is an election year. It's a shot at him," Don Racheter told Radio Iowa. (source: Huffington Post) Yes, it's a shot at Obama. It's also a shot at Thomas Jefferson, whose mother was born in England. Also, at Presidents Andrew Jackson, James Buchanan, Chester Arthur, Woodrow Wilson, and Herbert Hoover, each of whom had at least one foreign-born parent. By Racheter's logic, none of them were "really" presidents. Oh, and it's also incredibly stupid, given that Barack Obama himself was born in America, making the point moot. But apparently, "many" people believing something is enough to make something platform-worthy, even if it's completely asinine. Send Don Racheter and the Iowa Republican Party a message: Tell them you oppose this asinine provision, and you condemn their effort to "un-elect" Thomas Jefferson and the numerous other Presidents who followed him.
