Theyâre going to call it racist. It is not racist! They hide behind the race card any time that someone wants to attack the president on grounds that he would freely and liberally attack somebody else.
â[...] So why not expose the truth? Because the president, as you know, back in 2008, denied and disowned Jeremiah Wright, when, in fact, how could he have been in his church for 20 years and not assimilated some of the things that he was talking about?â
Herman Cain: Rev. Wright fair game
As I watched the segment, I was attracted to him at once. Nice lips, I thought, but please don't smile with all that expensive shiny work. No wedding ring. So I looked him up. Holy smokes - a hot billionaire, available, and an oddball as well. And he even s gay and, occasionally, ... bawdy. Perfect. (Well, except maybe for the Christian part, but we could work that out.) So, howcum he's never come up in this place? Reminder, he's a BILLIONAIRE.

Newark N.J. Mayor Cory Booker (D) expressed reserve about the Obama campaign's Bain strategy against Mitt Romney, telling "Meet The Press" viewers on Sunday that he was "uncomfortable" with the line of attacks. "This kind of stuff is nauseating to me on both sides," Booker said. "It's nauseating to the American public. Enough is enough. Stop attacking private equity." Booker was referencing the Obama campaign's Monday release of a series of documentary-esque Bain videos. The clips depicted Romney as a job destroyer at places like GST steel -- a company purchased by Bain that later saw hundreds of workers lose their employment. The mayor's comments also questioned the Bain attacks' public value, noting that they diverge from the "real issues" affecting voters. It's either going to be a small campaign about this crap or it's going to be a big campaign, in my opinion, about the issues that the American public cares about," Booker said. From the conservative side, GOP strategist Karl Rove entered the conversation on Fox News Sunday. He vowed that Bain jabs against Romney will not work, calling his tenure at the company a "strength." UPDATE (1:40 p.m. ET): Booker continued the conversation on Twitter after the show, adding his thoughts on how Obama needs to elevate his efforts over partisan politics.

This is the new underwhelming thread. I'm thinking about dinner. Carry on.
So sad.
By Jen Heger Radar Assistant Managing Editor Lindsay Lohan is extremely unhappy with the casting choices of the male actors who have auditioned for the role of Richard Burton in the Elizabeth Taylor Lifetime biopic, and filming is scheduled to begin in just a few weeks, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting. As we previously reported, the decision to cast Lohan as the screen icon has drawn criticism from Rosie O'Donnell who recently said, "I feel very sorry for her. I think she needs a lot of time away. ... She's had a lot of trouble doing every single movie, including SNL. She was out and not in rehearsal. I think she's not in a place to work." Choices to play the role of Richard Burton have come down to Gossip Girl star Matthew Settle, Sean Maguire, and CSI hunk Craig Robert Young, but after watching the audition tapes last weekend, "Lindsay declared that none of the actors were the right fit and that she wanted to go to London to look for a possible Burton actor there," a production insider tells RadarOnline.com. "Lindsay is being an absolute nightmare about who should play Burton. She believes Matthew Settle is too old to play the role, and she wants a major A-list star to be her co-star. However, her salary for the role took up a major portion of the budget, and the Burton gig will likely only pay $200k, max. The producers don't need to get Lindsay's approval of who will play Richard Burton, but they want to keep her happy." Making matters worse, is that filming is slated to begin in just a few short weeks, and they are no closer to signing an actor to play Burton. "They are already in pre-production and it's very hard to conduct any rehearsals without the pivotal role of Richard Burton," the source says. "There is also cause for concern because Lindsay partied all night last week with Paris Hilton, Barron Hilton and Brandon Davis. All three, including Lindsay, have been arrested for DUI and/or drug charges previously. Lindsay shouldn't be out partying all night long, no good can come of that." So will Lohan get her wish to jet across the pond to find her ideal Richard Burton? "Hell no!" The source says. "There just isn't any money in the budget, or time, to do so. The producers will try to land someone that Lindsay likes, but, if push comes to shove, they will just cast the role without her approval."

I have gone a few dates with a guy, a great guy (so far), who's over a year "sober". I'm a casual drinker, which he doesn't seem to have any problem with whatsoever. My two best friends, also casual drinkers, say this is a HUGE red flag, that alcoholics, even ones in recovery, are difficult to deal with. Sort of like dating a christian when you're an atheist. I have a college friend who is in recovery, and I adore her. Other than that, I don't have much interface with addicts, I guess. Have any DLers dated or are dating a recovering alcoholic? Was it worth it? Am I being ridiculous even asking this?

More news from the Daily News (quoting the National Enquirer): ANOTHER FORMER massage therapist has come forward â this one with compliments â claiming John Travolta has a magical set of lips. âHeâs a great kisser,â Luis Gonzalez, now living overseas, told the National Enquirer. âI know because I had sex with him, and he loved it.â Gonzalez told the Enquirer he found the âSaturday Night Feverâ star âvery experiencedâ in bed. He told the newspaper he spent an afternoon having passionate sex with Travolta at the posh Ritz-Carlton hotel in Laguna Niguel, Calif., in 1997. The former masseur claimed the randy rendezvous started shortly after he set up his massage table in the actorâs room. Travolta reportedly stripped down and said it was too warm for a top sheet, Gonzalez said. âI gladly let him lay on the table naked . . . and within five minutes, Travolta spread his legs and I could see an erection,â he told the Enquirer. âHe moved around and started to breathe heavily. Heâd say, âOh, yeah, that feels so good! A little higher, please!â â Gonzalez said Travolta made it clear he wanted more than a regular massage, so the couple hopped into the sack. âWe got into the bed that was right next to the massage table and had a really good time,â he claimed. âTravolta may not identify himself as a gay man, but it doesnât dismiss the fact that he likes sex with men,â Gonzalez said. Travoltaâs lawyer, Marty Singer, dismissed the new accusations. âWhen it comes to claims about my client in supermarket tabloids, consider the source,â Singer said in a statement to the Daily News. âThis spate of recklessly published tabloid stories is just part of a malicious tabloid agenda to boost lagging sales by running outrageous, defamatory stories about my client sourced by people seeking notoriety or a payday.â Meanwhile, John Doe No. 1, a former masseur who accused Travolta of groping him at the Beverly Hills Hotel in January, has hired Gloria Allred as his new legal muscle. That accuser appears to be in damage-control mode after withdrawing his graphic claims from federal court. âI represent John Doe No. 1,â Allred said in a statement obtained by The News. âMr. Doeâs lawsuit was dismissed without prejudice, which means that he is still legally entitled to file a lawsuit against John Travolta if he chooses.â âWe are in the process of conferring with him regarding the next steps which he may wish to take,â Allred said. Flight records, photographs and an eyewitness later placed the âPulp Fictionâ star almost 3,000 miles away in New York working on a movie at the time of the alleged attack. Faced with the starâs alibi, the man claimed he simply screwed up the exact date. âMy client is completely vindicated by Doe No. 1 dropping his claims and dismissing his lawsuit,â Singer said in a statement. The Oscar-nominated actor remains the subject of a related $2 million lawsuit brought by an Atlanta masseur identified as Doe No. 2. Singer has denounced the claims of both Does and also blasted a similar allegation by a former Royal Caribbean staffer who said Travolta propositioned him with a naked hug and the offer of $12,000 cash during a 2009 cruise. The News revealed Saturday that New York masseur Michael Caputo, a former masseur at Manhattanâs posh Peninsula Hotel, claims Travolta was blacklisted from its rooftop spa for inappropriate conduct. ndillon@nydailynews.com
He's an Oscar-nominated star, one of America's most celebrated stage actors and dated Rita Hayworth and Elizabeth Taylor, but Frank Langella might not be so popular when his bitchy new memoir hits the shelves next week. The celebrated Frost/Nixon actor - who played disgraced president Richard Nixon - is revealing the insecurities, egos and delusions of some of the most adored celebrities of all time. The book entitled Dropped Names: Famous Men and Women As I Knew Them promises to be a veritable treasure trove of juicy gossip and RadarOnline.com has a sneak peak at what Langella has to say about some of the people he's worked with. The 74-year-old claims: â˘Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis was the first woman he met who found "money as an aphrodisiac." â˘Paul Newman was "a pretty dull companion." â˘Graduate star Anne Bancroft was incredibly vain "consumed by a galloping narcissism that often undermined her talents." â˘Richard Burton was "a crashing bore" who liked to recite poetry when drunk. â˘He ended his affair with Elizabeth Taylor telling her she'd "eat him for lunch." â˘Lee Stasberg was a "pompous pygmy." â˘Laurence Oliver was "a silly old English gent who loved to play camp and gossip." â˘Langella famously dated Whoopi Goldberg for several years, but lucky for her his book only takes on deceased celebs.
